President-elect Donald Trump has connected vaccines to autism

Date:

In a recent interview with Meet the Press, President-elect Donald Trump responded that he would support the elimination of childhood vaccines if they pose a threat.

As Trump pointed out, autism was almost nonexistent 25 years ago. Now you have it.

Trump said he thinks Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s leadership will bring “a lot of good things.” Near the end of the campaign, Kennedy held events featuring the slogan “Make America Healthy Again.” This slogan was meant to focus on important issues such as reducing the influence of drug companies on the government, addressing health problems in children, and improving food safety.

“People that work for me, just the other day, two years old, beautiful child went to have the vaccine and came back and a week later, got a tremendous fever, got very, very sick, now is autistic.”

— Donald J. Trump, Sept. 2015.

I said I want to do small, small doses.  When you feed a baby, Bobby, a vaccination that is like 38 different vaccines, and it looks like it’s been for a horse … You know, it’s this massive — and then you see the baby all of a sudden starting to change radically.  I’ve seen it too many times …”
