India-China Stand Off: Mallikarjun reacts on Tawang Clash, Congress attacks Centre

Date:

New Delhi: After the India-China soldiers standoff politics also started on the Tawang clash. Congress party attacks the centre with hard questions and seeks answers from Prime minister Narendra Modi.

Congress is likely to corner the central government on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) issue in both Houses of Parliament on Tuesday in the wake of yet another face-off between the Indian and Chinese troops near Tawang.

“The Modi government should be honest about the Chinese transgressions and construction at all points near the LAC since April 2020,” Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Malllikarjun Kharge tweeted. He said, Again Indian Army soldiers have been provoked by the Chinese PLA. Modi govt. should be honest about Chinese transgressions near the LAC in Arunachal Pradesh since 2020.

He also added, Our jawans fought in a resolute manner and a few of them have been injured too. We are one with the nation on the issues of National Security and would not like to politicize it. But Modi Govt should be honest about the Chinese transgressions and the construction at all points near the LAC, since April 2020. Govt needs to take the nation into confidence by discussing this issue in Parliament. We are forever indebted to the valour and sacrifice of our soldiers.
