ALARMING SURGE IN HEART ATTACKS, ESPECIALLY AMONG YOUTH, PROMPTS KARNATAKA CM TO ORDER PROBE INTO POTENTIAL COVID-19 VACCINE LINK

Date:

Karnataka is facing an alarming increase in sudden heart attack deaths, affecting even young individuals, prompting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to order a high-level probe into potential links with COVID-19 vaccines. This comes amidst growing public awareness and concern, amplified by social media reports from across India and worldwide.

Reports of sudden cardiac arrests have created widespread alarm across India, with social media platforms playing a crucial role in disseminating information and connecting seemingly disparate incidents globally. While official investigations are ongoing, a significant segment of the public has drawn conclusions about a correlation between these tragic deaths and COVID-19 vaccination.

In a significant move praised by many for its courage and transparency, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah directly addressed the burgeoning concerns. “Numerous studies globally have recently suggested that COVID vaccines might be linked to the rise in heart attacks,” CM Siddaramaiah stated. He acknowledged that this has been a growing concern for the past few years since the COVID vaccine rollout, despite global pushes for vaccination campaigns.

The gravity of the situation is particularly evident in Karnataka’s Hassan district, where a staggering 22 individuals have succumbed to heart attacks in just 40 days. Disturbingly, victims include young people, with 5 deaths occurring in the 19-25 age group and 8 in the 25-45 age group.

This unprecedented situation underscores the urgent need for transparent, thorough investigation and open dialogue to understand the underlying causes of this tragic surge in cardiac events and to ensure public safety.

5G/6G and Cardiovascular Health: A Detailed Analysis

The incident happened near Bengaluru. A Jio satellite tower was installed at one of the buildings, leading many people in the area to notice birds that had died. Moreover, some individuals saw birds approaching the tower and dropping dead immediately.

The question asks about the potential for 5G technology to trigger heart attacks. This requires an examination of the relationship between radiofrequency radiation (RFR), cardiovascular health, and the specific characteristics of 5G.

The Cardiovascular System and Radiofrequency Radiation

5G is the fifth generation of wireless communication technology. It utilizes radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (EMF) to transmit data between devices, such as mobile phones, and antennas. 5G uses a combination of frequencies, including those used by 4G and frequencies above 6 GHz.These higher frequencies are also used in applications like police radar and security scanners. The amount of RFR exposure depends on factors like signal strength, proximity to the device, and usage duration.

Research indicates that the cardiovascular system is sensitive to radiofrequency radiation.Studies have shown evidence of changes in autonomic function with cell phone or Wi-Fi router radiation, including heart rhythm, blood pressure, and catecholamine efficacy on the heart.

Mechanisms of Injury

EWG’s analysis suggests that RFR emitted by wireless devices may affect heart health. Animal studies have linked RFR exposure to structural and biochemical changes in the heart, including irregularity and degeneration of heart muscle fibers, congestion of blood vessels, and changes in metabolic substances important for heart function. In two long-term animal studies, heart tumors were observed in animals exposed to RFR. Studies in people suggest that RFR can raise the risk for cardiovascular diseases by increasing blood pressure, total cholesterol, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. Changes in heart rate and altered responses of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems have also been reported.

5G Specifics and Potential Risks

The mechanism by which RFR affects the cardiovascular system is not yet fully understood. However, published studies suggest that RFR increases the production of reactive oxygen species, which may enhance lipid peroxidation and lead to oxidative damage. RFR exposures can also cause changes to the permeability and function of the cell membrane, as well as changes in intracellular enzymes and DNA damage. Oxidative stress is a well-known factor in heart disease and cardiac events.

The higher wavelengths from 5G networks could also expose people to more RF waves overall.

The existing research on radiofrequency radiation and its effects on the cardiovascular system raises concerns. The use of 5G, with its higher frequencies and increased potential for exposure, warrants further investigation to fully understand its long-term health impacts.

Adverse Health Effects of 5G Mobile Networking Technology Under Real-Life Conditions

The adverse health effects associated with non-ionizing radiation from 5G mobile networking technology, emphasizing deficiencies in current research methodologies.

  • Adverse Health Effects:
    • Non-ionizing radiation (wireless radiation) poses a spectrum of adverse health effects.
    • Current laboratory studies often fail to replicate real-life conditions, missing severe effects.
    • Many studies neglect real-life pulsing and modulation of carrier signals, which are central to how devices operate.
  • Research Limitations:
    • A significant limitation in existing studies is the lack of consideration for synergistic effects from other environmental toxicants (e.g., chemicals, biotoxins) combined with wireless radiation.
    • Published data demonstrate concern over health impacts related to both 4G and 5G technologies, with findings often viewed as conservative estimates.
  • Wireless Communication Evolution:
    • The progression from 4G to 5G technologies is noted, with an emphasis on exponential growth in global wireless communication.
    • Neither 4G nor 5G has undergone comprehensive safety testing in realistic scenarios.
  • Need for Rigorous Research:
    • It is critical to incorporate realistic exposure scenarios in future studies assessing the health effects of 4G and 5G technologies.
    • Regulatory bodies should prioritize safety assessments that reflect the cumulative impact of multiple environmental stressors, improving the understanding of health risks associated with wireless technologies.
  • Implications:
    • The findings underscore the need for vigilance in public health safety concerning the deployment of 5G technology, particularly regarding its potential systemic health impacts beyond surface-level effects on skin and eyes.
