In today’s digital age, connecting to home Wi-Fi has become a necessity for most people. Whether it’s office work, children’s studies, watching movies on TV, or operating home smart gadgets, everything requires internet. But typing a long and complicated password every time can be a hassle. Sometimes we ourselves don’t remember our home Wi-Fi password. But the good news is that you don’t need to enter it again and again. You can easily and securely connect your phone or laptop to Wi-Fi without typing a password. There are several ways to do this.
Through a LAN Connection
The easiest way to connect to the internet without a password is to use a LAN connection. This method connects the computer or laptop directly to the router, allowing you to access network settings and view important information. This method is often used when you’re managing your home network and want to check the settings without entering a password.
Connect a LAN cable from the router to your computer or laptop.
Open a browser and enter the router’s IP address in the address bar.
Then log in using the login information provided on the router.
Then open the WiFi settings menu.
Go to the password section to view the network information.
Using the WPS Button
Another method is to use the WPS button, or WiFi Protected Setup. This button is usually located on the side or back of the router. Once activated, some devices can connect without entering a password. This process is very fast, making it especially useful when you need to quickly connect a new device.
It’s worth noting that the WPS button needs to be pressed and held for a few seconds to activate.
Then open the WiFi menu on your device.
Select the option to connect via WPS.
But this only works if your router supports WPS.
Use a WiFi QR Code
You can use a WiFi QR code to connect to a network without typing a password. Many smartphones today have the ability to scan WiFi QR codes, making the connection process much faster. This method displays a code that contains the network name and password in a way that’s easy to scan.
To do this, go to your smartphone and open Settings.
Then select Wi-Fi.
Connect your main device to the network as usual.
Click on the network name to view the QR code.
Use another smartphone to scan the QR code.
This method is especially useful when you need to connect multiple devices at home and don’t want to enter a different password for each device.
