Amid the festivities of Janmashtami, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who arrived in Mathura on Friday, made a major announcement for the development of the Braj region. CM Yogi stated that after the grand development of Ayodhya and Kashi, Braj Bhoomi will also be developed in accordance with public sentiment. The double-engine government will leave no stone unturned in this regard. Keeping in mind the spiritual and cultural significance of Braj Bhoomi, a grand complex will be built here, similar to the ones in Ayodhya and Kashi. Previous governments were afraid to visit Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi because they were concerned about their vote bank. This government believes in Krishna Kanhaiya, Lord Shri Ram, Baba Vishwanath, and Mother Vindhyavasini. But will those who believe in Babar and Aurangzeb respect your faith?
The Chief Minister was addressing devotees in the temple complex after offering prayers at the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple on Friday. He said that the followers of Babar and Aurangzeb are once again going to poison society. Their habit is to spread venom, emboldening anti-social and anti-national elements, compromising your security, jeopardizing the future of your youth, undermining the safety of your sisters and daughters, robbing the prosperity of farmers who feed you, and once again rendering artisans and craftsmen who are aspiring to become entrepreneurs helpless. But the double-engine government will thwart these plans and will never allow them to be realized.
The Chief Minister said that the people of Ayodhya never imagined that Ayodhya would ever experience such grand development. There were no roads, no electricity, or proper water supply. Garbage was always piled high. Ayodhya was connected by a single railway line. Devotees who visited the place would return weeping after seeing the chaos and anarchy. Today, approximately one lakh devotees visit Ayodhya Dham every day. During festivals like Ram Navami, Kartik month, the Savan Jhula Mela, and Deepotsav, this number swells to five to fifty million. There is no inconvenience anywhere. A remarkable example of social equality is also evident. An international airport has been built in Ayodhya, named after Maharishi Valmiki, who spread the name of Lord Shri Ram to the masses. Four-lane roads have been built all around for connectivity. The railway has been doubled. Wherever you go in Ayodhya, you will find four-lane roads with names like Bhaktipath and Rampath.
The Chief Minister said that 500 years ago, in 1528, foreign invaders attempted to destroy our faith. However, our eternal faith in Lord Shri Ram is continuously growing in Ayodhya. This can be gauged from the influx of people there. The invaders who considered themselves invincible are nowhere to be seen today. They are all gone. But our faith has never been defeated. The world’s largest and most magnificent temple of Lord Shri Ram has been built in Ayodhya. Those who dislike this are defaming Ayodhya.
The Chief Minister said, “I was just here visiting Yogamaya. It was on this land that Yogamaya incarnated and challenged Kansa’s arrogance, and the same Yogamaya appeared in Vindhyavasini Dham. Whenever I came here, I immediately remembered Mother Vindhyavasini. Today, I am happy to report that our faith in Yogamaya has provided a grand complex for Vindhyavasini Dham.”
The Chief Minister said that devotees visiting Barsana, Nandgaon, and Govardhan, along with Mathura-Vrindavan, will have access to all amenities. No devotee should face any difficulties, their faith should not be hurt, they should come with ease, have darshan, and leave with blessings. The double-engine government is continuously making efforts to achieve this. These festivals and celebrations are not only the foundation of faith but also the foundation of our economy. Every person in society is contributing to PM Modi’s vision of a developed India by engaging with the system in some way or another.
The Chief Minister said that Lord Krishna told Arjuna only one thing: “Arjuna, you are merely an instrument; do your duty. If you perform selfless work, you will reap the rewards.” Similarly, if we all fulfill our duties honestly towards the country, society, and family, it will not take long for India to become a developed India and Uttar Pradesh to become a developed Uttar Pradesh. “Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana,” says Lord Krishna, “do your duty and move forward on the path of your duty. Our Lord Krishna will take care of the rest.”
He said that our country is independent, which is why we are able to celebrate our festivals and celebrations in such a free environment. Since yesterday, millions of devotees have been coming to Mathura-Vrindavan to participate with faith in various ceremonies and events. Today, we are connected to the government’s facilities and are taking advantage of new development projects.
The youth are confident about their lives and future. Every daughter and sister is assured of their safety. Every artisan and craftsperson has the confidence to become an entrepreneur. These festivals and celebrations are meant to instill this confidence and unite us. That’s why I had the opportunity to visit ‘Lala’ (Bal Krishna) in Brajbhoomi.
The Chief Minister said that our faith is equally important for a developed India. I come here on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami to honor our heritage. Previous governments were afraid to come here because they were worried about vote bank. They were afraid that people might ask questions and this Therefore, their actions led to incidents like the Jawahar Bagh incident. But now, our land of Braj is being connected with events like Janmotsav, Rangotsav, Brajraj Utsav, and Vaishnav Kumbh with renewed enthusiasm, new zeal, and new faith. This new faith is inspiring us all to move forward. The Chief Minister also extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Janmashtami.
