#Trump’s important message #PM Modi # 40-minute phone call#”just want to tell you
US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke by phone, the first since the ceasefire between the US and Iran. At the end of the call, Trump told PM Modi, “I just want to tell you that we all love you.” The conversation lasted approximately 40 minutes and marked the third time the two leaders have spoken this year.
US Ambassador Sergio Gor stated that during the call, the two leaders discussed progress in India-US relations. He stated that several major agreements could be reached between the two countries in the coming days and weeks, particularly in the energy sector. During the call, Trump briefed PM Modi on the current situation in the Middle East. Prime Minister Modi wrote on the social media platform Twitter (formerly Twitter) that he spoke with his friend President Trump and reviewed the good work done between the two countries in various fields. He also stated that India and the US are fully committed to further strengthening their relations.
PM Modi stated that the situation in West Asia was also discussed during the talks, and both leaders emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz must remain open and secure. This sea route is crucial for the world, especially for oil supplies. This conversation comes at a time when Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri recently returned from a three-day visit to the US. Additionally, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is scheduled to visit India next month, where he will discuss a number of important issues with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and other officials.
US President Donald Trump and Modi have spoken three times this year. On February 2nd, the two leaders discussed progress on the trade deal, and on March 24th, they discussed the situation in the Middle East. Meanwhile, Trump has also stated that talks between the US and Iran could resume within the next two days. He stated that the venue for the talks would be Pakistan.
