Shortly after the Anti-Paper Leak Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha, the BJP held a press conference in Delhi. Addressing the press conference, Sambit Patra targeted Rahul Gandhi. During the press conference, Patra alleged that Rahul Gandhi had lied several times in the House. Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s statement about firing on students, Patra said that he (Rahul Gandhi) is misleading the country.
Indeed, Rahul Gandhi claimed in the Lok Sabha that firing was done on protesting students. He asked who gave permission to fire on the students. Rahul Gandhi asked who gave the order to fire. This statement by Rahul Gandhi caused an uproar in the House. Shortly after, the BJP held a press conference and targeted Rahul Gandhi.
Addressing the press conference, Sambit Patra said that in the last few days, we have seen promising students of our country come forward and protest. Senior party leaders spoke with the students, a solution was found, and the protest ended. The main issue that had been pending since independence until 2014 was how to stop paper leaks, strengthen the examination system, and ensure the most stringent punishment for the paper leak mafia.
Countering Rahul Gandhi’s allegation that bullets were fired at students, Sambit Patra said, “Today, Rahul Gandhi stated that bullets were fired at students. The Bharatiya Janata Party, after verifying the facts, clearly and officially states that no bullets were fired. Rahul Gandhi falsely claimed that bullets were fired. No bullets were fired.”
Sambit Patra also said that Rahul Gandhi is repeatedly asking whether the Home Minister ordered the use of force. In such a situation, it should be understood that the officers present on the spot decide on immediate action; no leader holding a constitutional position in the country makes this decision.
Sambit Patra said that Rahul Gandhi always walks with his hands in both pockets. It seems he’s carrying a victim card in his pocket and constantly making false allegations. Regarding the uproar in the Lok Sabha over the microphone being turned off and on, Sambit Patra said that Rahul Gandhi’s microphone was on in the House. He turned it off himself and then started saying he wasn’t being allowed to speak. Everyone saw that the microphone was on.
Sambhit Patra said that during the student protest, our party leaders talked to them (students) and found a solution. A law was also enacted in 2024, and it was amended to make it more stringent. About 45 MPs participated in the bill. Union Minister Jitendra Singh introduced this bill in the Lok Sabha, and it became law through voting.
Patra said that Rahul Gandhi had no facts today. Today, Rahul Gandhi said that students were shot at, but the BJP officially maintains that no shots were fired. Rahul Gandhi has insulted parliamentary dignity and the citizens of the country by using words like “idiot” and “blind devotee” to describe millions of youth, students, and voters.
BJP MP Sambit Patra said that Rahul Gandhi says girls’ clothes should be torn. Rahul Gandhi should not have said such things in the House, as it insults our armed forces. Everything Rahul Gandhi said today was baseless and false. Rahul was unprepared in the House.
