Regarding the firing and murder of a youth from Bihar in the Jafarpur Kalan police station area of Dwarka district, Delhi, the Bihar Police Headquarters contacted the Delhi Police and inquired about the incident.
In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dwarka District, Delhi, informed that on April 26, 2026, at approximately 02:15 AM, the Jafarpur Kalan police station received information from RTR Hospital about two people who had been shot, and one of them was declared dead.
The deceased was Pandav Kumar (21 years), a resident of Prajapati Colony, Bindapur, and worked as a Zomato delivery boy. The injured Krishna is a friend of the deceased and lived with him.
Rupesh Kumar, a resident of J.P. Kalan, originally from Khagaria, Bihar, was having a birthday party for his son. It is reported that after the cake was cut, the crowd of about 20 people slowly began to disperse.
About 70-80 meters from Rupesh’s house, on the main road (Captain Prithvi Singh Dagar Marg), Rupesh, the deceased Pandav, Krishna, Deepak, and three others on a scooter (a total of seven people) were standing and talking with him on a motorcycle.
Across the road, a man named Neeraj had been living on the first floor above the R.K. Properties office for the past 15 years. While these people were talking on the road, Neeraj came down and started arguing with them.
CCTV footage showed Neeraj brandishing a weapon and arguing. Suddenly, he aimed a shot at Pandav’s chest. A bullet pierced Pandav Kumar’s chest and struck Krishna, who was riding pillion, in the right abdomen.
The injured were taken to RTR Hospital by Rupesh and others. The accused has been identified as Neeraj. He is a resident of village Bahu Akbarpur, Meham, Rohtak, Haryana, and had been living alone at the address provided for the past 15 years.
The accused has been arrested, and an empty 9mm cartridge was recovered from the scene.
A case was registered in this regard at Jafarpur Kalan Police Station, Case No. 36/2026, under sections 103(i)/109(i) of the Indian Penal Code and 35/27 of the Arms Act, on April 26, 2026, and further investigation is underway.
The Bihar Police is in contact with the Delhi Police regarding this matter.
