Prashant Kishore visited Bharat Tiwari’s home and raised questions about the lack of accountability.
Political and social unrest continues to grow in the Bharat Tiwari encounter case. On one hand, the scope of Mahapanchayats, protests, and public support demanding justice is expanding, while on the other hand, leaders from political parties are continuing to visit Bilauti village. In this connection, Prashant Kishore, the architect of Jan Suraj, visited Bharat Tiwari’s family in Bilauti village, Shahpur police station area, to meet with them and launched a scathing attack on the Bihar government and administration regarding the incident. He heard the family’s side of the story and sharply criticized the Bihar government and administration for the incident. Prashant Kishore alleged that no effective action has been taken against the guilty policemen in the case, and the entire incident raises serious questions about law and order.
Upon reaching Bilauti village, Prashant Kishore met with Bharat Tiwari’s mother, Asha Devi, and other family members. The family briefed him on the incident and leveled serious allegations against the policemen. Bharat Tiwari’s mother stated that strict action should be taken against the policemen responsible for her son’s death.
After meeting with the family, Prashant Kishore attacked the Bihar government, saying that the manner in which this entire case was handled and the subsequent events that unfolded raise serious questions about the state’s law and order situation. He added that it is unfortunate that accountability has not been fixed even after such a major incident.
Prashant Kishore stated that on behalf of his mother, sister-in-law, and sister, we are demanding that justice means investigating not only those who committed the murder but also those at whose behest it was committed. Those who created the situation were not insane. Your system and officers had put him in such a mental state that he was unable to understand how to deal with them.
Prashant Kishore stated that Bharat Tiwari’s mother has been continuously demanding justice and action against the guilty policemen. He alleged that the family’s voice is not being taken seriously. He also demanded that the case be investigated impartially and the culprits be punished.
Following Bharat Tiwari’s death, a murder case was registered against the police officers at Shahpur police station based on a family petition. The government has also directed the villagers and family to withdraw the cases filed against them. Despite this, demands for strict action against the guilty officers continue to rise.
Prashant Kishore, the architect of Jan Suraj, has attacked Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. Prashant Kishore stated that whether Bharat Tiwari is killed, a NEET student is wronged, or a woman is criminalized in Begusarai, crimes are not committed based on caste; crimes are being committed against all people because a criminal has become the Chief Minister.
Regarding Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, he said, “We speak boldly and are not afraid. We are now saying on camera that he is a confirmed criminal.”
Prashant Kishore stated that Samrat Chaudhary is accused of murdering seven people. He is not an accused; he is an accused. He was in jail and failed in the seventh grade. He has committed all kinds of crimes and misdeeds and has become the Chief Minister. If a person with criminal tendencies sits on the Chief Minister’s chair, will he chant Ram’s name? Crime will definitely increase; if a corrupt person is put on the chair, corruption will definitely increase.
For the past few days, leaders of political parties, social workers and representatives of various organizations have been continuously meeting the family in the Bharat Tiwari case. Prashant Kishore’s visit is also considered important in this context. The demand for judicial action and administrative accountability in the case is continuously increasing.
