Should we celebrate National Vaccination Day despite potential risks and deaths after the vaccine?

Date:

The celebration of National Vaccination Day has led many to question appropriateness of its celebration, given the potential risks and reported deaths linked to vaccines. It is important to take these concerns seriously; however, it is also essential to acknowledge that vaccines have not played a substantial role in saving lives or in controlling the spread of infectious diseases.

India has faced challenges in addressing adverse events following immunization (AEFIs) and providing adequate support to individuals who experience vaccine-related complications. There have been reports of underreporting of AEFIs and a lack of government support for those affected by vaccine side effects.
