Do you have an inverter in your house and does a strange humming sound start coming from the fan or tube light when the power goes off? Often this sound does not come when electricity is coming. In such a situation, what happens to appliances like fans or tube lights when there is power failure and can it cause any damage to the inverter or appliances?

Often people ignore this sound but very few people know that this buzzing sound is related to the technology and waveform of your inverter. This sound is not only irritating to the ears but can also reduce the lifespan of your equipment.
In fact, the electricity supplied by the government to homes is pure sine wave electricity, in which the current reaches the appliances in a very smooth manner without any shock.
Generally inverters work on square wave or modified sine wave technology. Instead of sending the current smoothly, these inverters deliver the current to the devices with a jerk. Due to this, vibration is generated in the electromagnetic coil present in the fan motor and the choke of the old tube light.
It is because of this vibration that we hear a buzzing or humming sound.
Due to receiving wrong waveform current for a long time, fans or tube lights start overheating. Excessive heat can also cause the varnish on the fan coil to burn prematurely. Because of this, there is a risk of the fan motor getting damaged?

Due to this, the load on the inverter also increases, which not only reduces the efficiency of the inverter but also has a negative impact on the battery backup.

The sure solution to stop humming noise coming from fans or tube lights on inverter is pure sine wave inverter. If you install a pure sine wave inverter at home, your appliances get the same power as it comes from the government grid. Due to this, no vibration is generated in the equipment and their life also improves.
To further strengthen the treatment of the problem, you can use BLDC motor fans and LED lights in place of old fans.
Apart from this, it can also be beneficial to use a good quality capacitor regulator instead of the old cheap step-type regulator with fans.
