Woman drugged and gang-raped in Kerala, main accused arrested

Thiruvananthapuram: Police have arrested the absconding main accused in the case of gang-raping a housewife after intoxicating her with synthetic drugs. Rishad Moideen (28) of Mancheri Mullampara Parakkadan was arrested by Kannur and Mancheri police.

Two others, Muhsin (28), Ashiq (25) of Manakoda, and Asif (23) of Elajittu were arrested in the case earlier. When the police surrounded the house in Mullampara to arrest Rishad Moitin, he jumped out and ran away.

Following a tip-off that the suspect had reached Pazhyangadi, the police reached the spot and surrounded the residence and arrested him. Muhsin, the first accused in the case, got acquainted with the housewife through social media.

Then he came to their house with his friends pretending to be friends and then gang-raped the housewife after giving her drugs.
