When the Cockroach Janata Party started its movement at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of the Education Minister on the issue of question paper leak in the NEET Undergraduate exam and reforms in the education system, they took the help of famous environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk to provide strength to it. Sonam Wangchuk started a fast on this issue. On one side Sonam Wangchuk was going in a state of hunger while on the other side the Dafli Gang was playing the Dafli there and expressing happiness. There was no way he seemed to be concerned about the students. His concern was that Dharmendra Pradhan might resign and he would keep playing the tambourine like this. Rahul Gandhi also never came to Jantar Mantar and only people like Pawan Kheda were sent to Jantar Mantar so that students do not get angry towards Congress due to the absence of any Congress leader. Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuk’s condition started deteriorating. Talks started happening at Jantar Mantar that Sonam Wangchuk might lose her life. It was also discussed that the anarchist element hidden in these agitators might take the life of Sonam Wangchuk. Then, on the instructions of the Supreme Court, Narendra Modi’s government sent police and removed Sonam Wangchuk from there and brought her to Safdarjung Hospital and started treating her. After coming to the hospital, Sonam Wangchuk asked the government to discuss this issue of students in Parliament. The government accepted his demand. After this, this Dafli gang members and Rahul Gandhi started increasing their distance from Sonam Wangchuk. They even started saying that Sonam Wangchuk has sat in the lap of Narendra Modi government.
Now the mystery has started to be revealed as to why Rahul Gandhi started keeping distance from Sonam Wangchuk after she went to the hospital.
This was revealed by a video on social media. In this video, Sonam Wangchuk’s wife Geetanjali J Agam is praising Sanatan Dharma while expressing her feelings. In this she is also opposing the addition of the word secular in the Constitution. She is even saying that if Nehruji had not become the Prime Minister unexpectedly, the country would have had a different image today. It is noteworthy that at one time he was the Congress President and later on becoming the Prime Minister. Except for one vote, everyone else was in favor of Vallabhbhai Patel, but with the intervention of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru became the President of the Congress and later also became the Prime Minister of India.
This statement of Sonam Wangchuk’s wife Geetanjali J Agam on social media shows that she and Sonam Wangchuk are Sanatani from within. In such a situation, both his ideology and the ideology of Bharatiya Janata Party are the same.
Sonam Wangchuk is a well-known environmentalist and is also in favor of a separate state of Ladakh. Ladakh has a total population of approximately 2.74 lakh (as per 2011 census) and its total area is approximately 1,66,698 square kilometers. The population density of Ladakh is 4.5 persons per square kilometer. Currently, there are two districts in Ladakh, Leh and Kargil. After the recent addition of 5 new sub-districts administratively, there are a total of 7 areas/administrative units. In such a situation, it does not seem possible for Ladakh to become an independent state.
Sonam Wangchuk also knows this. In such a situation, talks to include Ladakh in the fifth or sixth schedule of the Constitution have started between Sonam Wangchuk and Narendra Modi’s government.
The Fifth Schedule of the Indian Constitution currently consists of 10 states, namely: Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. These 10 states are as follows:The 10 states of the Fifth Schedule are Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan and Telangana.
The Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution includes four states in northeastern India – Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram. This schedule deals with the administration and autonomy of the tribal areas of these states.
Many types of special powers are given to the government for the welfare of the Scheduled Tribes of the states included in this schedule. Sonam Wangchuk wants to include Ladakh in one of these schedules of the Constitution so that Ladakh gets developed and outsiders do not loot its mineral wealth. It is noteworthy that at present businessmen from other states of the country are coming to Ladakh to exploit the minerals there. Sonam Wangchuk feels that by exploiting the minerals of Ladakh, people outside will become rich and the people of Ladakh will remain poor as before. Narendra Modi’s government is serious on this concern of Sonam Wangchuk and it is possible that Ladakh will soon be included in the fifth or sixth schedule of the Constitution.
