Jeevika Didis, working in groups, are now relieved of the hassle of wandering around to resolve their problems and protect their rights. Didi Adhikar Kendras are being operated in rural areas for their convenience.
Here, Jeevika Didis are not only easily obtaining legal advice to seek justice in cases of violence against them, but are also finding solutions to the problems they face in their daily work.
Jeevika officials say that Jeevika Didi Adhikar Kendras are being established in rural areas. Currently, 256 Jeevika Didi Adhikar Kendras have been established across the state. The plan is to increase the number of these centers to 421 by the end of the current financial year. Government approval has been obtained for this.
Seven members are being deployed at these Jeevika Didi Adhikar Kendras, as recommended by the group, where the Didis are able to easily resolve any of their issues. These centers are controlled by Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna. The control room also ensures the availability of legal counsel as needed for the Didis.
