Bihar Business News: Startup Bihar, under the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, successfully organized a statewide awareness programme titled “Startup Bank Connect: Enabling Access to Finance for Startups”.
The programme was conducted simultaneously across all 38 districts of Bihar through the network of Startup Cells, established under Startup Bihar in various academic institutions. A total of 6,289 startups participated in the programme across the state, with District Magistrates from various districts also joining the initiative.
Access to finance is one of the key challenges faced by early-stage startups. Keeping this in view, the Startup Bank Connect programme was conceptualized to create awareness about the various financial assistance, banking facilities, and funding opportunities available for startups.
The session aimed to familiarize students with critical aspects of startup financing, including banking procedures, government support schemes under Startup Bihar and Startup India, challenges entrepreneurs face while accessing institutional finance, and the importance of financial planning and preparation in establishing and scaling a business.
The programme featured interactive discussions on available credit linkages, collateral-free loans, and institutional support mechanisms. Students were also sensitized about the role of financial discipline and business planning in ensuring long-term sustainability of startups.
The initiative is part of Startup Bihar’s continuous efforts to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy among youth and to strengthen the startup ecosystem at the grassroots level.
