Artificial Intelligence (AI) is spreading rapidly across the world. AI chatbots are now making people’s work easier. ChatGPT has become a popular AI chatbot in India. In light of this, the company has launched a new program. Under this program, approximately 100,000 researchers will be given free access to its most advanced ChatGPT AI model in the coming years. The program aims to enable scientists worldwide to utilize highly advanced AI technology, making new projects and research easier.

For your information, please note that this program is not available to general users. The company has clarified that only scientists and researchers from selected universities and recognized research institutions will be eligible for this program.

If a researcher is selected, they can also include a maximum of four other colleagues from their own institute in this program. This will make research in teams easier and provide better support across a range of disciplines.

According to the company, this initiative will be rolled out in phases. Initially, approximately 10,000 researchers will be enrolled this summer. The program will then gradually expand, reaching a total of 100,000 researchers by 2027.

The application process for this program has already begun. It should be noted that only universities and research institutions with strong academic and research credentials will benefit from this program.

Selected participants will have free access to OpenAI’s most advanced AI models, including the company’s new GPT-5.6 model family.

In addition, applicants will have access to advanced tools like ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex. They will also receive features like higher usage limits and larger context windows compared to standard users.

These tools will enable researchers to quickly analyze large data sets, create programming code, review research papers, and complete complex tasks like preparing research grant applications.

For your information, OpenAI is not only providing general AI models. The company will also provide over 75 specialized life science tools. These tools can be used in genetics, genomics, protein modeling, drug discovery, and many other areas related to biological research.

Furthermore, researchers will be able to connect ChatGPT with scientific papers, public databases, computational notebooks, and other research platforms. This will greatly facilitate the collection and analysis of information from various sources.

OpenAI believes that scientific progress should not be limited to institutions with large machinery and large budgets. Therefore, the company wants to ensure that opportunities for better research are accessible to as many scientists as possible.

The use of AI is constantly increasing in fields such as science, engineering, and mathematics. In such a scenario, this initiative by OpenAI could prove to be a major game changer for researchers. If scientists can quickly complete repetitive everyday tasks with the help of AI, they will be able to devote more time to new experiments and discoveries. In the coming years, this program could play an important role in reinvigorating the pace of global scientific research.
