Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi has launched a major attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Challenging PM Modi to a debate, he alleged that he became Prime Minister with foreign aid and remains so.
Posting on Instagram, Rahul wrote bluntly, “Modi ji, stop lying to this country. You became Prime Minister with foreign aid. You remain Prime Minister with foreign aid. Your economic system is completely controlled and supported by foreigners. Foreign social media is fully supporting you.”
Rahul Gandhi said, “I challenge you to an open debate on this issue. Any platform, any time. If you have the courage, come. You won’t come because I know you’re afraid.”
This counterattack by Rahul Gandhi comes in response to the controversy surrounding PM Modi’s October 31 speech, targeting the Congress and the opposition, saying that the Congress was trying to divide the country. Disruptive forces are using social media to spread rumors.
At the National Unity Day celebrations held at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Narmada district, Gujarat, to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Modi said the opposition has now become a disruptive force. Social media is being used as a weapon, spreading rumors and attempting to tarnish India’s image. Modi warned against “mindless Naxals” and stressed the need to move towards a secular civil code.
