A massive fire broke out at a coaching institute in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The bodies of 14 people have been recovered from the coaching center so far. Several leaders, including PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi, and Rajnath Singh, have expressed grief over this horrific fire. PM Modi has also announced a compensation of ₹2 lakh each for the families of the deceased. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep condolences over this tragic incident.
Regarding the Lucknow coaching institute fire, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “I am deeply saddened by the deaths in the fire incident in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. My condolences to the families of the victims. May the injured recover as soon as possible. Rescue operations are underway, and officials are providing all possible assistance.” PM Modi also announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh each from the PMNRF to the families of the deceased, and ₹50,000 each for the injured.
On the Lucknow accident, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan said, “The loss of life and property in the fire in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is deeply tragic. My heartfelt condolences are with the families of the victims. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
Rahul Gandhi also expressed grief over the devastating fire. He wrote on the social media platform, “The news of the death of several people and the injury of many others in the fire at a coaching center in Lucknow is deeply painful. I express my deepest condolences to all the bereaved families and hope for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
Defense Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh expressed grief over the accident, saying, “The fire at a coaching center in the Aliganj area of Lucknow is heartbreaking. My condolences are with all the families who lost loved ones in this incident. I also pray for the speedy recovery of all the injured.”
The deceased in this accident is reported to be between 20 and 24 years old. The incident has spread panic in the surrounding area, and it is feared that the number of casualties may rise further.
According to reports, a fire broke out in a coaching center inside the building, rapidly filling the campus with thick smoke, causing panic among students and other attendees. Some jumped from the upper floors and rooftops in an attempt to save their lives, resulting in serious injuries.
Eyewitnesses reported that smoke was first seen rising from the building in the afternoon, and the fire quickly spread, engulfing the entire building. With the fire and smoke blocking exits, panicked students ran for windows and rooftops. Some even jumped to save their lives.
Several fire, police, and administrative teams arrived at the scene. Senior officials, including the District Magistrate and Police Commissioner, were present to oversee rescue and relief operations.
