Suvendu Adhikari, who became the Chief Minister of West Bengal after defecting from the TMC to the BJP and defeating Mamata Banerjee twice during her tenure, is now intent on exacting revenge against Mamata Banerjee. Currently, he is targeting Abhishek Banerjee. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari does not consider this an act of revenge, but rather sees it as a call for change in West Bengal and calls for a step towards establishing the rule of law.
Addressing a public rally in Diamond Harbour, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari launched a scathing attack on TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee. He alleged that he has obtained information about 24 properties belonging to Abhishek Banerjee and his family’s company, “Leaps and Bounds,” and will conduct a thorough investigation into all of these properties.
While campaigning for the BJP candidate in Falta, Suvendu Adhikari primarily targeted Mamata Banerjee’s nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, leveling numerous allegations against him. He stated that those who committed atrocities during Mamata Banerjee’s rule would be jailed one by one. The Election Commission had cancelled the election in Falta, and a by-election will now be held there on May 2.
The key points from Suvendu Adhikari’s speech are as follows:
Property Disclosure: Suvendu Adhikari claimed that he possessed detailed information about 24 properties owned by Abhishek Banerjee’s company, including a luxurious office in Amtala. He had also obtained the documents for these properties from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. He threatened to investigate: The Chief Minister issued a direct challenge, stating that whether Abhishek Banerjee lives in the country or in Singapore/Dubai, any alleged “theft” he has committed will be fully accounted for and all properties will be investigated.
Strong allegations: Suvendu Adhikari alleged that ever since the TMC MP entered politics, the voting rights of the people of Diamond Harbour have been taken away and an atmosphere of corruption and hooliganism has flourished there.
