Pakistan and other foreign forces are exploiting the ongoing movement against NEET exam rigging in India, led by the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) and Rahul Gandhi, to create an anti-India atmosphere and incite protests through social media. According to revelations by Delhi Police and security agencies, Pakistan’s role in this entire matter and its strategy to corner India have been revealed in the following ways:
Misuse of social media handles and propaganda: Delhi Police has revealed that approximately 480 social media handles operated from Pakistan have been blocked for exploiting the ongoing student protests in India and creating a vitiating atmosphere. These accounts were attempting to incite Indian students and the public by sharing misleading content, rumors, and doctored videos on social media.
Activation of Operation Sindoor’s toolkit network: According to security agencies, many Pakistani social media accounts found active during the NEET protests have previously been involved in anti-India activities. This is the same network that was activated during the earlier Operation Sindoor to spread anarchy in India. Its primary objective is to divert student attention and disrupt law and order in the country under the guise of the protests.
Setting the narrative on foreign media and digital platforms: Pakistani media and digital platforms (such as Pakistani news outlets and social media influencers) are portraying this domestic student protest in India as a “major civil uprising against the Modi government” and a “human rights violation.” They are attempting to portray this internal administrative issue as a major global human rights crisis.
Pakistani diplomats’ cunning stance: When international media questioned Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi in Islamabad about whether the Indian government was violating human rights by cracking down on protesters, he bluntly called it an “internal matter of India.” However, according to Indian intelligence reports, despite officially maintaining distance, Pakistan is fueling the issue through a backdoor social media toolkit.
Utilizing global protests: In addition to Pakistan, protests with “I am also a cockroach” slogans have been organized by some expatriate groups and protesters in foreign cities such as New York, London, and Berlin. Pakistan’s social media networks are exaggerating visuals from these foreign protests and using them to damage India’s global image.
Now the government has also started taking steps to thwart this attempt to destabilize the country by spreading unrest in the country. In this matter, Delhi Police and administration have warned the students and parents not to get misled by such edited videos and misleading messages being spread by unknown, unverified or Pakistani networks and to trust only official and reliable sources.
