Australian doctors, lawyers, politicians, & citizens ask for investigation into Covid.
A group of prominent Australian doctors, lawyers, politicians, commentators and international guests are calling for a Royal Commission into Covid.
An event named, “Australia we have a problem,” will include a series of brief ‘witness statements’ calling for a Royal Commission into the COVID pandemic response. The event will be livestreamed across the globe and also used to launch Professor Robert Clancy’s new book: Covid and the Corruptiion of Medical Science.
This book is a collection of 14 articles published by Quadrant capturing a changing picture through the covid era. Each essay is a commentary on what was known at the time of writing. It is an extraordinary story told by a clinical immunologist with experience in vaccines and a research interest in protection of the airway from inhaled pathogens. Covid left a large footprint with many suffering a crippling post covid vaccine syndrome or Long Covid. There remains unexplained a worrying tail to annual excess deaths. Large sections of academia promote without critique genetic vaccine research and manufacture. Failure of medical leaders, institutional bodies and political processes to recognise and investigate covid misadventure led to publishing this series of chronologically linked insights into the evolving covid enigma.
UHO has been also following the Australian data as it offers the best opportunity for studying the impact of mass vaccination as the country had strict lockdowns and near 100% mass vaccination. Even the great tennis star Novak Djokovic was debarred entering the country because he refused to be vaccinated since he had recovered from natural infection. However, the impact of mass vaccination was discouraging in Australia, which is underplayed by the mainstream media and medical journals. Even with these constraints, a peer reviewed paper in a medical journal by a UHO member, specifically brought out increase in both cases and covid deaths in Australia after mass vaccine rollout. UHO would like to bring to attention that our members have also been writing and recommending for investigation into covid related excess deaths since more than four years. Our column published in National Herald on 23 December 2022, have generated around three lakh views and thousands of response globally on twitter. Our members have also published two books chronicling the Covid-19 pandemic and its aftermaths, titled, “Covid 19 Pandemic – A Third Eye.” and “Math Murder in Media Manufactured Madness.” The former is a commentary of the pandemic as it evolved based on collection of weekly columns, questioning the main narrative based on known science and evidence, while the latter written by a professor of IIT Bombay, challenges the definition of pandemic and hasty hurried measures with help of hard yet simple data which will be understood by a high school student.
While the columns and books have been received well by the people as evident from the positive reviews and number of views on twitter, it has not moved our policy makers into conducting a thorough investigation into the excess deaths.
We hope the motion by doctors and prominent citizens brings about an impartial investigation in Australia like the senate hearings in the USA, which other world governments can also emulate.
Trials for Autoimmune diseases: Experiment halted after deaths of three participants.
Trials testing an experimental medication have been urgently halted following the death of multiple participants.
Swiss drug manufacturer Novartis said Tuesday that it paused eight clinical trials of the cell therapy rap-cel after the deaths of three patients.
The halt began on August 24 after Novartis was notified of three cases of a rare but life-threatening allergic reaction called immune effector cell-associated hemophagocytic syndrome (IEC-HS), the company spokesperson said.
Novartis said it is conducting ‘a comprehensive review of the observed safety events’ and is working with safety boards to review what happened and how to catch dangerous side effects earlier.
UHO appreciates the quick action of halting the trial and initiation of a thorough investigation by the trial coordinators.
UHO would like the contrast this with the unethical HPV vaccine trials in our country in 2009-10 in during which seven underprivileged girls died. It took lot of media and citizen activism to initiate an enquiry which was delayed leaving gaps in evidence to enable the trial coordinators to declare that the deaths of these young girls were not associated with the HPV vaccine. Nevertheless, the 72nd Joint Parliamentary Committee Report on these deaths which was tabled in both houses of parliament found the PATH funded by Gates Foundation and the ICMR responsible for serious ethical violations and misleading the participants by declaring that it was a demonstration project and not a trial.
The memory of the policy makers seems to be short-lived as the HPV vaccine has been rolled out in the country on a mass scale this year on 28 Feb 2026. In view of the earlier mishap with this vaccine in India, UHO recommends proper informed consent before administering the vaccine and strict monitoring and investigation of all adverse events associated with it.
UP declares free H1N1 influenza testing in Government Hospitals in the State
According to a report in the Economic Times Health World, dated 03 September, the UP Government has directed free H1N1 testing at all government hospitals in the state and has ordered private hospitals not to charge more than the prescribed fee for the tests. The Chief Minister of the State also directed that adequate stock of medicines, isolation facilities, and ICU beds be kept ready.
Another report published on 02 September states that the tourist city of Agra has been put on high alert for the H1N1 influenza and all visitors are being screened. The antiviral Tamiflu is also being stockpiled for to ensure that hospitals do not face a shortage in case of emergency.
UHO has researched the mortality from H1N1 since the surge of influenza this year. As of September 3, 2026, the best available evidence suggests that India has reported very few officially confirmed H1N1 deaths this year, despite a substantial rise in infections.
Even the ICMR Director General has on 25 August 2026, said no deaths had been reported from influenza nationally, while noting that H1N1 accounted for about 98% of tested influenza cases.
Another matter of concern which was reported in our last week’s newsletter is that a recent randomized controlled trial has shown that that treating critically ill influenza patients with oseltamivir (Tamiflu) is ineffective and has a 98% probability of increasing 90-day mortality compared to providing no antiviral treatment. These findings challenge decades of standard observational-based hospital guidelines.
Given the evidence of almost zero mortality, and substantial potential harm from Tamiflu, UHO recommends that universal testing and screening and stockpiling of Tamiflu should be reconsidered to preserve valuable resources which can be used for our more pressing health problems. We expect the public health policy planners to study the evidence before recommending measures which cost the state exchequer.
