A federal program funds dentists to promote HPV vaccines to patients, using taxpayer money.

Date:

NIDCR’s six-year scheme to twist the arms of dentists to push HPV vaccines will cost $3.5 million

The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) awarded over $685,000 in grants to test strategies to encourage more dentists to recommend HPV vaccines to their patients aged 11 to 26. Over the next six years, the total funding for this research will be $3.5 million. The goal is to train dental providers to deliver standardized messages about the alleged benefits of HPV vaccines.

The program also offers financial incentives to dentists who actively promote HPV vaccines. These incentives are funded by taxpayer money and serve as a way to recognize and reward dentists for their efforts in increasing vaccination rates. By providing financial support, the program aims to encourage dentists to prioritize HPV vaccination and integrate it into their routine patient care.

However, critics argue that dentists should not be involved in pushing vaccines unrelated to oral health. They also point to the health risks of the HPV vaccine Gardasil.

Gardasil is one of the deadliest vaccines a person can take, providing no benefits while putting a patient at risk of developing very serious health problems such as postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), fibromyalgia and myalgic encephalomyelitis, also known as chronic fatigue syndrome.
