Amendments to the International Health Regulations adopted: this is what it means

Date:

The changes to the International Health Regulations (IHR) were pushed through at the World Health Assembly (WHA), the general meeting of the WHO. It has also been agreed to draw up an international pandemic treaty within the next year. The WHO itself speaks of a ‘historical development’.

Unfortunately, the people have suffered a huge defeat and the struggle continues, according to James Roguski , who is closely following developments.

At the start of the WHA, the meeting documents on the IHR amendment proposals were made available at the last minute.

Toned down

The IHR changes were adopted on Saturday evening – the last day of the WHA – just after 9pm. Compared to previous versions, they seem toned down. There is now talk of ‘implementation’ instead of ‘compliance’.

Doctor Meryl Nass

Doctor Meryl Nass mentions a large list of points that have been removed on X. For example, the IHR no longer talks about One Health. As announced, the Netherlands did not break the consensus.

Pandemic emergency

The adopted amendments allow the construction of the ‘Pharmaceutical-Hospital-Emergency-Industrial-Complex’, Roguski warns. The aim is to trigger “pandemic emergencies” that are then exacerbated by “relevant health products” (read: vaccines), he adds.

In the future, the WHO may declare a ‘pandemic emergency’ due to new viruses.
