Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury Challenges Pollution Narrative and Public Health , Advocates for Natural Immunity and Lifestyle Solutions

Date:

Dr Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury is a renowned health researcher and author who focuses his work on making sense of science-backed natural nutrition and lifestyle changes. Holding the prestigious Guinness World Record in memory, Dr. BRC is a trailblazer in health education. He’s developed the DIP Diet (the Disciplined Intelligent Person’s Diet) – a down to earth guide that gives people the tools they need to make well informed decisions about what they put on their plates.

In a recent public address, Dr. BRC questioned widely accepted claims about the health impacts of air pollution and infectious diseases, urging citizens to think critically about the information they receive. He stated:

“This Delhi pollution is bothering you, you are worried—but there’s no reason to be worried because the news from the media is right in front of your eyes. The government has made it clear that pollution has no connection to lung diseases.

“Air pollution kills as many people every year as the world wars did.” – Sonam Wangchuk

So, what do you think about the claim that as many people are dying in India due to pollution as died during World War? Around seventy lakh to one crore people die every year due to pollution. Now, whose word should we believe?”

Dr. BRC went on to express skepticism about the media’s role in shaping public perception, referring to what he calls “propaganda media” and drawing controversial comparisons between successive viral outbreaks—such as Swine Flu, H1N1, MPOX, and COVID-19—suggesting that seasonal illnesses are being rebranded under new names to create fear.

“It’s like the posters in a movie theater keep changing, but the story inside remains the same,” he remarked. “Every year, coughs, colds, and fevers are given a new name. If the coronavirus pandemic truly exists or existed, speaking as of today, I am ready to pay 50 lakh rupees.”

DR.BRC suggests that the media is adept at creating fear-based narratives. “In just a few days, they’ll convince you that even an AQI (Air Quality Index) of a 1000 poses no risk. This is a form of brainwashing,”

This statement aligns with themes explored in his books, including One Day BookTwo Day Book, and The Galt: The Naked Truth, where he critiques conventional medical paradigms and promotes natural, self-empowered health solutions.

Dr. BRC emphasized that rather than relying solely on external interventions like masks or vaccines, individuals must take personal responsibility for their health. He introduced the concept of creating a “pollution control haven” within homes, advocating for the planting of neem trees and other green cover around residences. Highlighting the anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties of neem, he asserted that natural immunity, strengthened through proper nutrition and environment, is the best defense.

He advised:

“Plant neem trees around your house, plant saplings, and take care of them so that your immunity is strong enough to withstand such high levels of pollution… When you create this haven, open your windows slightly. Smoke may temporarily increase your home’s AQI—but don’t worry. Once it clears, you’ll feel the difference in your breathing. Do this for four to seven days and see the results.”

Dr. Chowdhury stressed that true change begins with individual action, not passivity.

“Remember, freedom is not free; you have to fight for it. You have to take some action. If you think everything will happen on its own, then you’re mistaken.”
