Mumbai Police held a press conference on Monday regarding the attack on actor Tiger Shroff. The Mumbai Police DCP stated that the manner in which the shots were fired suggests, prima facie, that the accused had come with a murder plan.
Tiger was attacked at 7 p.m. on Sunday. The attacker who fired at Tiger’s car was arrested by police at Kota railway station in Rajasthan within 15 hours. According to Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam, the three were traveling to Jaipur on the Pune-Jaipur Express and were detained in the general coach. No weapons were recovered from them. Police stated that Anil Pandit of the Lawrence gang had contracted the attack. Anil released a video claiming responsibility.
Police stated that Tiger was not shot, but his left hand was injured by gunpowder and glass fragments. His driver was also injured in the firing. Regarding the arrested criminals, the police stated that none of the three accused are minors. According to the Rajasthan Police, two of the three suspects are from Haryana and one from Bihar. These include Rehan from Sonipat, Haryana, and Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan from Begusarai, Bihar. It was previously reported that the third accused was a minor, but the police denied this. Police are now interrogating them to gather information about the attack plot and other individuals involved.
According to Mumbai Police sources, the accused had been monitoring Tiger Shroff for approximately 10 days. They had also conducted a recce of his house and gym. Before the shooting, the accused thoroughly searched the area for 45 minutes. They were also gathering information about Tiger’s location and daily routine from paparazzi videos and blogger content on social media. After the shooting on Sunday, the accused fled from SV Road in Mumbai towards Vile Parle and Andheri. They abandoned their bike near Andheri West Railway Station and boarded a train. The police recovered the bike.
According to Rajasthan Police, initial investigations revealed that Rehan, from Haryana, was in contact with Anil Pandit, who lives in the US. Anil Pandit is said to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. After the shooting, Anil Pandit claimed responsibility for the attack through social media posts and audio clips.
He also threatened Salman Khan and asked him to apologize to Lawrence Bishnoi. Police are verifying the social media posts and audio clips.
Regarding the Mumbai shooting case, DCP Raj Tilak Roshan said, “There were three people on the bike. Two of them opened fire and then fled on the bike.” Around 20 special teams of the Crime Branch were formed. Based on field work and technical investigations, the bike was traced near Andheri West Railway Station. CCTV footage and other technical investigations revealed the route of the three.
The investigation revealed that they traveled towards northern Mumbai and then to Surat. Later, we learned they were traveling on the Pune-Jaipur Express. We also found out which coach they were in and informed the Kota police.
Kota police apprehended them. We then took them into custody. The process of bringing them to Mumbai is underway. Delhi Police, Gujarat Police, and Rajasthan Police have assisted us in this matter.
The DCP of Mumbai Police stated, “The accused dumped the bike in Andheri, Mumbai. The accused traveled from Mumbai to Surat and then to Kota. They are being apprehended and brought to Mumbai. On record, Tiger has not received any threats at this time.”
Following the arrest of the accused, another audio note from Anil Pandit of the Lawrence gang surfaced. In it, he said, “I want to ask the administration why no action was taken when Bollywood members killed Sushant. Today, when our elder brother Lawrence took action against them, the administration speaks against our brother. We have the same mindset as Bhagat Singh. Our fight will continue.” All these Bollywood actors, sitting in Pakistan, make films with Dawood’s money and are earning double the money and giving it to him.’
It further said, ‘As for Salman Khan, we will not leave him alone until he apologizes. We will make his life hell. If he apologizes, then we have no animosity towards him. If he doesn’t apologize, we will harm everyone close to him, and definitely him. You may kill two of our people, but we have 100 brothers ready in Mumbai.
