A special strategy was formulated to sharpen the opposition’s strategy at the India Coalition meeting on Wednesday. Five major decisions were taken by opposition leaders. These included a march to the Election Commission by opposition MPs on October 6th.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the India Block has planned programs for youth, political parties, and those who believe in democracy and the Constitution. “Save Democracy March” will be held from October 2nd to October 8th. These marches will be held in all districts. They will raise awareness and submit memorandums to the offices of district officials.
A march to the Election Commission will be held on October 6th. Kharge stated that opposition leaders will seek an appointment with the President in the second week of October. During this meeting, he will be briefed on alleged vote theft and electoral irregularities. In addition, the India Coalition will hold five large rallies, but their locations and times will be decided later.
He stated that these rallies will inform the public about how the government is usurping people’s voting rights and alleged vote theft.
During the India Coalition’s press conference, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar have attacked the democratic system. He stated that those guilty should be punished. Rahul Gandhi stated that when Gyanesh Kumar leaves, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also leave. Kharge stated that a large mega rally will be held in Delhi on November 1st.
He stated that Rahul Gandhi has consistently raised the issue of vote theft, and now people are understanding the issue. Mamata Banerjee has also raised the issue of vote theft on several occasions. Kharge stated that previously, people did not believe these allegations, but now, with the facts presented to the Election Commission, the truth behind the alleged vote theft is coming to light.
Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated that the India Bloc is completely united and stands together. She called what has happened a massive theft. According to her, elections in Bihar, Haryana, Maharashtra, and West Bengal were won through alleged vote theft.
Mamata Banerjee stated that the opposition has also approached the Supreme Court regarding this matter. She leveled serious allegations against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and demanded his resignation. She said that Gyanesh Kumar should resign immediately.
