Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has mandated all public-use airports in Florida to report any activities related to geoengineering and weather modification, emphasizing compliance with newly enacted legislation, Senate Bill 56.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier wrote to operators of public airports on Monday that their compliance is needed to “catch those who seek to weaponize science” and will safeguard the atmosphere from “harmful chemicals and experiments.”
“We need your help to keep our state free and make sure the skies belong to the people, not to private contractors, corporate experiments, or climate extremists,” he wrote. “In Florida, we don’t jeopardize the public health so that we can bend the knee to the climate cult.
Senate Bill 56 was signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis as a response to growing concerns about the risks associated with weather modification processes.
The law came into effect at the beginning of July 2025 and aims to prevent harmful environmental practices.
Airports must report any potential weather modification activities, including the use of aircraft equipped for geoengineering.
Reports are required on a monthly basis to the Florida Department of Transportation starting from October 1, 2025.
Failure to comply with the reporting requirements could lead to significant penalties, including third-degree felony charges and fines reaching $100,000.
