Indian woman receives prestigious award in US

Noida: Hindi language is now resounding in the world, it is only possible due to the hard austerity of Indians and with the contributory role of Indian-origin people living across the world, who did not forget their mother tongue even on foreign soil. That is the reason not only the stage of honor for the Hindi language was set up in the United States of America, but the award was also given to the woman litterateur as a mark of respect.

Indian woman litterateur Dr. Anjana Singh Sengar was awarded by ‘Hindi Seva Samman’ for her excellent contribution in Hindi literature. She received this honor by the International Hindi Association of USA.

After returning from the US, Dr. Sengar told, “This organization named ‘International Hindi Association’ has been working for the promotion of Hindi there for the last 42 years. This committee has expanded its branches across the US. A grand convention is organized by the Samiti in every two years.”

“This time 21st biennial session was organized in the Indianapolis City of Indiana State of USA, in which I was invited to lecture. Committee was impressed by my Hindi literary writing; the chairman also gave me the chance to stage a speech in the interest of Hindi. Apart from being honored with the ‘Hindi Seva Samman’ for selfless dedication, a certificate of appreciation was also given for the best speech presentation in the convention”, she added.

The convention was attended by Committee Chairman Alok Mishra, Indiana Branch President Dr. Rakesh Kumar, US Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, Consul General of India Chicago Somnath Ghosh, Sher Bahadur, Dharampal, National Board Director New York Indrajit Sharma, City Mayor, and other dignitaries.

Dr. Anjana Singh Sengar, who is a resident of Noida City of Uttar Pradesh, was formerly serving as a customs officer under the central government, but she took voluntary retirement from her department in the year 2016 for her love of literature. Many of his books have been published so far, including the poetry collection Mann Ke Pankh, Jugnu Ki Jung in Hindi, and the Ghazal collection Agar Tum Mujhse Kehte in Urdu.

Dr. Sengar’s Hindi ghazal collection ‘Agar Tum Mujhse Keh Dete’ has also been honored with the ‘Firak Gorakhpuri Samman’ in the year 2021 by the UP Govt’s Hindustani Academy. Apart from this, she has received more than 50 honors and awards from many states and institutions in the country, including the Asiad Literary Excellence Award at the Indian Embassy in Dubai.
