Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the opposition following the BJP’s “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” march in Hyderabad. He accused opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and the Congress of protecting infiltrators under the pretext of the SIR. He also took aim at the Congress’s mock Parliament, sarcastically saying that Rahul Gandhi can only become Prime Minister in a mock Parliament.
Amit Shah said, “You should become Prime Minister once in a mock Parliament, because you won’t be able to become Prime Minister in the real Parliament. If you become Prime Minister in a mock Parliament, Sonia Gandhi’s heart will be at peace. Rahul Gandhi can’t win elections this way. You go abroad every three or four months. You have to understand and solve the public’s problems. They hold the Constitution in their hands, but they don’t implement it. They don’t allow Parliament to function.”
He said, “I challenge you, we are ready to call a special session. Come. Let’s discuss.” But they won’t discuss it. They know. They can keep themselves in the news only through anarchy. If they stay in Parliament, PM Modi will tear them apart.
