A large-scale event to be held at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna ahead of Ambedkar Jayanti
Patna, April 8
The Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department will organize a large-scale Ambedkar Samagra Shiksha Samagam ahead of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. The event will be held on April 13th at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna. SC-ST Welfare Minister Lakhendra Kumar Roshan announced this at a press conference held at his residence on Wednesday. He stated that the main objective of the program is to create awareness about education among the marginalized sections of society and connect them with the mainstream education system. This program will be an important step towards promoting Dr. Ambedkar’s educational philosophy and empowering the underprivileged.
The Chief Minister of Bihar, along with other departmental ministers and senior officials will be present at the event. Students from various Ambedkar hostels across the state will also participate.
Proud of academic achievement
Minister Roshan, while highlighting the achievements of the Ambedkar Residential School at Gaighat, stated that this year, 123 girls from the school participated in the Intermediate examination, all of whom passed with first division marks. This achievement is a matter of pride for the department. The state government is continuously striving to improve education so that no student is deprived of education.
*New Scholarship Scheme*
He further stated that under the National Overseas Scholarship, scholarships will now be provided by the Bihar State Government to students pursuing higher education abroad. This will facilitate opportunities for meritorious students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes to study abroad.
