Pakistan raises Kashmir issue in UNSC, Jaishankar sharply hit back by reminding Osama and Parliament attack

Date:

New York: India has given strongest hit back to Pakistan while presiding over the United Nations Security Council meeting. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said that the country which hosted al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and attacked the neighbouring country’s parliament has no credibility to preach. This meeting was being held as an open debate for Security Council reforms, but here too Pakistan did not miss raising the Kashmir issue.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar’s reply after Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari raised the issue of Kashmir in the UN is being discussed a lot. Slamming Pakistan without naming any country, Jaishankar said the credibility of the United Nations depends on an effective response to the major challenges of our time, be it pandemics, climate change, conflict, or terrorism.

He further said, “The question of justifying what the world considers unacceptable should not arise.” Pointing to Pakistan, he said, “This certainly applies to a country sponsoring cross-border terrorism.” Is., He said that neither hosting Osama bin Laden nor attacking the parliament of a neighbouring country can serve as evidence to preach before this Council.

Jaishankar’s response came after Bhutto raised the Kashmir issue during a meeting of the UNSC convened to debate a new orientation for reformed multilateralism under India’s December presidency. The Foreign Minister of Pakistan said that the UN Security Council is primarily responsible for maintaining international peace and security.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also indirectly attacked China, a sympathizer of terrorists. Participating in an open debate at the United Nations Security Council, Jaishankar said international forums are being misused to justify and protect perpetrators of terror. At the same time, after raising the issue of Kashmir in the United Nations Security Council, Jaishankar retaliated strongly against Pakistan.

Jaishankar said that the country which hosted Al-Qaeda terrorist Osama bin Laden and attacked the neighbouring country’s parliament has no right to preach.
