London: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has appeared in a new look, sporting a trimmed beard after flaunting a flowing salt-and-pepper beard during his recently concluded Bharat Jodo Yatra.
The Congress leader landed in London for a week-long tour of the United Kingdom, during which he will deliver a lecture at his alma mater, Cambridge University, on “Learning to listen in the 21st century” and interact with students at the university’s business management department.
Gandhi’s long beard had become a topic of discussion among Congressmen, who had speculated whether he would continue to sport the look or trim the beard.
The trimmed beard comes after his long beard invited comments from his political adversaries, who compared his looks to a former Iraqi dictator.
