Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Saturday launched a new platform called ‘Satyagraha’. Its aim is to bring together the voices of people across the country fighting for their rights and justice.

Rahul Gandhi launched this platform on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary and also shared a link to the website. He released a video and said, “Every struggle, whether it’s for people, students, farmers, tribals, Dalits, women, has its own story. But a voice raised alone is often suppressed.”
He said that people across the country are raising their voices against injustice. “As the Leader of the Opposition, your fight is my fight. Now is the time for a new Satyagraha. Tell me what issues you are fighting for; I am listening.”

Rahul Gandhi said that truth is being suppressed across the country. Numerous protests are taking place in different parts of the country. Some for land, some for women’s rights, some for Dalit and OBC rights, and some for education and examinations. We want to organize all these movements, bring them together on one platform, and work with you to see how we can help you resolve the fight you are standing for.

Rahul Gandhi says that ‘Satyagraha’ is an initiative to bring these voices together on one platform. Rahul Gandhi appealed to people to share their stories on this platform if they are fighting against any injustice. He said, “You will see who else is fighting like you. I will do whatever I can – in Parliament, on the streets, by writing letters, by standing with you wherever I am needed – this is my responsibility as the Leader of the Opposition.”

He says that through this platform, people can share their identities, their issues, and the challenges standing in the way of their rights.
