PM Modi’s Big Game, All Opponents Fail

Date:

In the 12 years since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014, he has successfully formed governments in 22 states, either with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or with his NDA allies. Consequently, it is natural for opposition political parties to be anxious to oust Prime Minister Narendra Modi from power. Driven by this anxiety, politicians from opposition political parties resort to opposing PM Modi and even the country. They employ various tactics to oust PM Modi from power, but PM Modi, through his ability, has effectively driven these individuals out of the hearts of the people of the country. The clear evidence of this is that under PM Modi’s leadership, governments led by the BJP or its alliance partners have been formed in 22 states, but governments formed by opposition political parties have consistently fallen, meaning the public has rejected them.

The Congress party, led by Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, at least escaped humiliation by coming to power in Kerala. However, the Aam Aadmi Party, led by Arvind Kejriwal, and the TMC party led by Mamata Banerjee, which claimed to be the party of the common man, were thoroughly humiliated.

Not only did the Aam Aadmi Party lose its government in Delhi, but its government in Punjab is also facing a crisis. With Aam Aadmi Party MPs defecting and joining the BJP, the party’s very existence is now under threat, along with the government itself.

You can already see the plight of the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. The BJP won the assembly elections, and Suvendu Adhikari, who had defected from the Trinamool Congress and defeated Mamata Banerjee in the elections while she was Chief Minister, was appointed Chief Minister. This was a major upheaval within the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress. 60 out of 80 MLAs rebelled, and their leader, Ritubrata Banerjee, was also appointed Leader of the Opposition in West Bengal. Additionally, 20 Trinamool Congress MPs broke away from the Trinamool Congress and merged with the Nationalist Citizens Party of India, a registered but unrecognized political party, to support the Bharatiya Janata Party. Not only MLAs and MPs, but also scores of Trinamool Congress councilors have broken away from the Trinamool Congress. These individuals have taken over the Trinamool Congress party office and are now laying claim to its treasury. There are fears that the Trinamool Congress party may be snatched from Mamata Banerjee’s hands and taken over by these rebels.

During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first and second terms, the Bharatiya Janata Party under his leadership secured such a large majority that no opposition political party was in a position to appoint its leader as the Leader of the Opposition. Now, in the third government led by PM Narendra Modi, Congress has succeeded in making Rahul Gandhi the Leader of the Opposition. They seem unable to grasp the importance of this and are resorting to such maneuvers and statements to remove PM Narendra Modi that they themselves are becoming less prominent, while PM Modi continues to govern with alacrity.

First, Rahul Gandhi started raising the issue of casteism, then added the issue of vote theft. However, the public caught on to Rahul Gandhi’s ploy to win elections on these anti-national issues, and not only did Congress suffer a disastrous defeat in the Bihar elections, but he also left the RJD in a state of disrepute.

After this, Rahul Gandhi, citing PM Modi’s name appearing in the Epstein files, began talking about detonating a bomb in Parliament that would topple PM Modi’s government within six months. When the Zen G movement erupted in Nepal and the government changed, Rahul Gandhi quickly began talking about a major Zen G movement in India, similar to those in Bangladesh and Nepal, and about the fall of PM Modi’s government within six months, hoping to capitalize on it politically in the West Bengal elections. However, his campaign, like the first one, fizzled out.

Since the Zen G movement has come up, I want to clarify one thing here, and Rahul Gandhi is also making an issue of it. This concerns the leak of the NEET exam question paper. This is a major failure of the Narendra Modi government, as it dashed the hopes of many young people, and some even lost their lives. Initially, Dharmendra Pradhan, a minister in Narendra Modi’s government, ignored it, and even when he did, the issue persisted in subsequent exams. There is considerable anger among the youth about this, and Rahul Gandhi is trying to capitalize on this anger politically. However, the fear persists: if he attempts to make this an issue in the old fashioned way, the BJP will nullify his efforts, leaving the youth’s cause in tatters.

Opposition politicians like Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal are also vigorously raising the issue of these two Narendra Modi surrenders. They claim that Donald Trump has touched PM Modi’s sore spot and is forcing him to do as he pleases. Symbolically, they say that Donald Trump has obtained information related to PM Modi in the Epstein file, the leak of which would immediately cost him his position. Citing this, they say that Donald Trump has prohibited them from purchasing oil from Russia, so they have stopped buying oil from Russia.

While PM Modi has not offered any clarification regarding Rahul Gandhi or Arvind Kejriwal’s surrender to US President Donald Trump, they have certainly presented a bright image of the Prime Minister of India through their actions.

In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, despite Donald Trump’s wishes, neither met nor spoke with him on the phone for 16 months. Meanwhile, Donald Trump repeatedly invited him to meet with him and attempted to speak directly over the phone, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi ignored US President Donald Trump.

The global influence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the extent to which Donald Trump has embraced him, was evident at the G-7 meeting in France. Despite not being a member of the G-7, India is frequently invited to G-7 meetings. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the G-7 meeting in France, US President Donald Trump was already seated. When Narendra Modi moved his chair to sit with his left hand, Donald Trump stood up, shaking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hand. Here again, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with him face to face. He also raised the issue of the killing of Indian civilians by the US military and sternly told Donald Trump that this would not be tolerated.

As for India’s decision to stop buying oil from Russia after US President Donald Trump prohibited it from buying from Russia, India never did so at the behest of US President Donald Trump. India has been importing large quantities of oil from Russia ever since Russia began supplying crude oil at cheaper rates. And after the Hormuz crisis, India has begun buying even more oil from Russia to build a large reserve to meet India’s emergency petroleum needs.
