The defection of Uddhav Sena (SS) MPs in Maharashtra has finally been confirmed. The UBT MPs, who left Uddhav Thackeray and joined Eknath Shinde’s real Shiv Sena, announced their decision on Sunday, stating, “They have no grudge against Uddhav Thackeray. They still hold no resentment against Uddhav Thackeray.” However, they themselves explained why they did so.
The UBT MPs blamed their decision to leave on leaders who had been making numerous statements against several party MPs in the media for a long time. Hurt by the personal, harsh comments of some of these leaders, six UBT MPs have confirmed their joining Shinde’s Shiv Sena.
These six MPs stated that some leaders within the party were making baseless and derogatory statements about them on a daily basis. Angered by their personal attacks and comments, they announced their decision to leave the Uddhav Sena (UBT) and join the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Nagesh Patil Ashtikar confirmed on Sunday that he had joined the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He cited a lack of development funds for his constituency and the disadvantages of being in the opposition as the reasons for his decision.
Breaking his silence for the first time since speculation began about “Operation Tiger,” the Hingoli MP said he had not compromised on his ideology and had simply switched from the Uddhav Sena (UBT) to the Shiv Sena.
“Operation Tiger” is being called a political move by the original Shiv Sena, led by Eknath Shinde. It is said to be the root cause of the Uddhav Sena (UBT) MPs’ decision to switch allegiances. The Sena (UBT) had nine MPs, six of whom are rebels. Of the six, one is in Mumbai and one in Pune. Sources said two will come from Chennai and the rest from Kolkata for the press conference.
