KMC suspends two doctors arrested in drug case

Mangaluru: Kastruba Medical College has terminated the services of two medical doctors who were arrested on January 12 on the charges of drug peddling and consumption.

Mangaluru police commissioner, on Friday, told media that the private medical college and hospital in the city where the accused were studying or working has suspended them.

Among the arrested, 7 medical students and 2 doctors involved have been suspended. The incident happened in a private medical college hospital in the city.

They are slapped with consuming and peddling cannabis (marijuana or ganja) cases. The incident happened on January 12.

The police commissioner added that the head of the private medical college hospital has informed him that those involved in the case from the institute have been suspended.
