Impact of Film Promotion Policy: 45 Projects Gain Momentum in Bihar
The government is promoting projects in various languages

A total of 45 films have been approved for shooting in Bihar. These films are being made in multiple languages, including Bhojpuri, Hindi, Magahi, and Hindi-Maithili. The list includes 22 Hindi films, 19 Bhojpuri films, 1 Magahi film, 1 English-Bhojpuri film, and 1 Hindi-Maithili film.
According to the list released by the Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation Limited for the years 2024–25 and 2025–26, a total of 45 film projects are currently being shot in the state. These include 38 feature films, 6 documentaries, and 1 web series. All these projects are being provided subsidies and other facilities under the state government’s Bihar Film Promotion Policy. Since July 2024, shooting for 39 films has already been completed, while the remaining projects are still in progress.

Some of the major films in the list include Sanghatiya, The Long Journey Home, Bihar Ka Jalwa, Suhagin Ke Senur, Life Leela, Zindagi Bitawani Tohre Pyar Mein, Ghar Ka Bantwara, Naari, Rajni Ki Baraat, Oh My Dog, Tia, Sugni, Patidan, Chhath, Pen Brush, Bihaan, Anmol Ghadi, Bantwara, Ambe Hai Meri Maa, Beti Banal Vijeta, Akhand Bhedam, Bihari Bhauji, Vrihaspati Vrat Katha, Jai Maiya Sharda Bhawani, Zindagi Ek Prem Katha, Maiya Thawe Wali, Magadh Putra, Aakhiri Lesson, Echoes of the Absent, Champaran Satyagraha, Don’t Turn, Halaat, Adi Shakti Mundeshwari, Jeevan Ki Shatranj, Mahabodhi Temple of Bodh Gaya, Andhere Mein Roshni Ki Kiran, Digital Yug Ka Sanskar, Bajrangi, Gumbad, Pyar Ta Pagal Hola, Bihar Legislative Assembly Chairman up to 2025, Offline, Idol, Miss Bihar, and The Outcast Bird, among others.
The shooting of these films is taking place across major locations in Bihar such as Rajgir, Bodh Gaya, Patna, Gaya, Munger, and Champaran. Through these locations, Bihar’s historical heritage, religious significance, and natural beauty are being showcased on a national platform.
Under the state’s Film Promotion Policy, filmmakers are receiving subsidies, single-window clearances, and administrative support from the government.
