New Delhi: In a chilling incident, a 54-year-old woman was brutally killed and buried by a 3-member gang in Delhi. Her body was cremated in a graveyard in Delhi’s Nangloi. The deceased is identified as Meena Wadhavan. The graveyard caretaker has also been arrested in connection with the incident.
The three accused — identified as Mubin Khan, Rehan, and Navin Khan were arrested in connection with the incident. According to the police, they have confessed to killing Meena Wadhavan for demanding back her money, according to the police.
According to police, Meena, a resident of Avantika Enclave in Mangolpuri, was reported missing on January 2 at Mangolpuri Police Station. The accused were arrested after their crime was caught in CCTV footage, said DCP Harinder Kumar Singh.
As police started the investigation into the missing case, they found her mobile phone switched off. Soon they found that two of the people who had last called her on mobile were at the same location as she was, and based on the finding, apprehended one Mobin.
The police later detained another suspect Navin on Wednesday evening. He confessed to his involvement in the killing. At night, the three took her body to Nangloi graveyard and buried it there with the connivance of the cemetery caretaker Sayyad Ali, the DCP said.
