The world is troubled by the ever-increasing plastic waste, especially plastic bottles, in such a situation hardly anyone would have thought that these plastic bottles could become the basis of the houses of the future. In fact, a German builder has discovered the technology of converting this plastic waste into a strong house. In fact, Andreas Frois of Honduras has developed the technology of converting plastic bottles into solid bricks, with the help of which not only cement and bricks are saved but also a stronger house can be built than cement and concrete.
Andreas Froese’s technology of converting plastic bottles into solid bricks is not only capable of halving the cost of building a house but also assures 300 years of strength.
German builder Froese thought of developing this technology after seeing the bottles thrown after events in his area. He realized that if these bottles remain unused, they are harmful to the environment and if they are made usable, then the problems of many people can be solved.
Only after this did Froese start working on the technology of converting bottles into bricks.
Froese discovered the technique of converting plastic bottles into super bricks in a very easy way. For this, he made a machine to fill dry sand in plastic bottles so tightly that the bottles lose their flexibility and they turn into a stone-like thing.
To make a house or any place from these bottles, they are placed neatly in an order and tied with nylon ropes.
After this they are plastered with mortar of cement and sand. In this way, 70% of the structures made from bottles are used.
This structure can easily support a roof weighing 36 tonnes on itself.
This technology is being used to make eco-friendly structures. Due to this technology, construction is 50% cheaper than a normal brick-cement house.
Apart from houses, it is also being used in making water tanks with capacity up to 3,500 litres, camping igloos and composting toilets. Experts have estimated the age of structures made with this technology to be 300 years.
