The campaign against E20 petrol has been launched through this social media page. The E20 Janata Party stated through its page, “Questioning the ethanol policy is not against the country—it is in the public interest. If you also want answers, raise your voice.”
The E20 Janata Party has invited taxi, tourist, and commercial vehicle owners from across India to a Parliament march on August 4th. It has been reported that during the Parliament March, they will protest the mandatory use of E20 ethanol-blended petrol and the expensive GPS and panic button systems.
Protesters say that E20 is negatively impacting the engines of older vehicles, reducing mileage and increasing operating costs. The page states that thousands of drivers and vehicle owners, led by Sanjay Samrat, will gather to demand government action.

Customer Choice: Wherever possible, low-ethanol blended or ethanol-free petrol options should be made available alongside E20.
Independent Scientific Studies: Studies on engine performance, mileage, maintenance costs, and the long-term impact of E20 should be conducted by independent institutions and made public.
Transparency: Every petrol pump should clearly indicate the amount of ethanol blended in the available fuel.
Car Owner Safety: If a vehicle manufacturer does not recommend E20 for a specific model, this should be clearly communicated to customers.
Public dialogue: There should be open dialogue with the government, automobile industry, scientists, farmers’ organisations and consumer organisations.
