RVS Mani, former Under Secretary in the Union Home Ministry, has made sensational allegations against the Congress party. He revealed several important facts in an interview with ANI. In an ANI podcast, he stated that 26/11 was a fixed match between the Congress and the ISI. Following the release of this interview, the BJP has demanded an explanation from the Congress. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi stated that the Congress was fully prepared to fabricate a false narrative of Hindu terrorism. They should now respond.
Had Tukaram Omble not captured Kasab alive, the terrorist attack would have been blamed on Hindus.
RVS Mani stated in the interview that 26/11 was a fixed match between the Congress and Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI. He also made the controversial claim that there was a plan to present the narrative of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks as Hindu terrorism. He argued that since terrorist Ajmal Kasab was caught wearing a sacred thread (the sacred red thread of Hindus), if Mumbai police officer Tukaram Omble had not captured Kasab alive, the attack would have been falsely blamed on Hindu groups.
BJP MP Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi says, “Another important point is that RVS Mani, a senior Home Ministry official during the UPA government, gave an interview to an agency. In it, he stated that if Ajmal Amir Kasab had not been captured alive during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, full preparations were in place to fabricate a false narrative of ‘Hindu terrorism.'”
Sudhanshu Trivedi said that today’s generation may not know that on November 26, 2008, all the terrorists had fake Hindu identity cards. If martyr Tukaram Omble had not sacrificed his life, this would have been proven on the basis of those fake identity cards. RVS Mani said that this was a ‘fixed match’ between the ISI and the Indian National Congress, and that what he said was not an allegation but solid evidence. Now it is the responsibility of the Congress party to respond.
RVS Mani also claimed in the interview that the Coast Guard had already spotted the terrorists’ boat, yet surveillance was suspended. This forced the National Security Guard (NSG) to wait, delaying their deployment at the Taj Hotel by nearly two hours.
Exactly two years later, a WikiLeaks cable revealed that Rahul Gandhi had told a US diplomat that Hindu extremist groups could pose a greater threat than Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Congress leader Digvijay Singh had asked to investigate Hindu terrorism.
On an ANI podcast, RVS Mani claimed that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government tried to create a political narrative around “Hindu terror” or “saffron terrorism.”
RVS Mani, a former Under Secretary in the Home Ministry, stated that during his tenure in the UPA government, Congress leader Digvijay Singh had asked him to investigate cases of “Hindu terrorism.” However, he told Singh that there were no such cases in the country.
RVS Mani said that when he was working in the Internal Security Division, there were no official records mentioning “Hindu terrorism” until 2010, and the term was not found in any files.
RVS Mani has also written a book, “The Myth of Hindu Terror: An Insider Account of the Ministry of Home Affairs (2006-2010).”
On November 26, 2008, Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists carried out the Mumbai attacks, killing 166 innocent people. Hafiz Saeed and Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi were the masterminds. Aamir Ajmal Kasab, one of the terrorists involved in the attack, was captured alive and hanged in Pune’s Yerwada Jail in 2012.
The NIA court has now issued a non-bailable warrant against Hafiz Saeed. Under the new Indian Penal Code (BNS) laws, the legal process has begun for his trial in absentia if he is hiding in Pakistan and cannot be brought to India.
