Meta will soon add several new AI features, including:
Nutrition Tracking: Users will be able to record their food intake via voice or photo, and Meta AI will extract relevant information from it to track their personal health over time.
WhatsApp Summary: A hands-free WhatsApp Summary feature is also coming soon, allowing you to ask Meta AI for a brief summary or key information from a chat. Importantly, the data is protected by end-to-end encryption.
Neural Handwriting: Upcoming features include Neural Handwriting, which allows users to write messages on surfaces with their fingertips, and the glasses will convert them to text. This works with apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, and iMessage.
Display Recording: Display recording allows users to create videos by combining visuals, real-world information, and audio.
Meta is also expanding ecosystem integration into its smartglasses, including Spotify shortcuts and on-device widgets like reminders, weather, and calendar. Additionally, a navigation feature is rolling out in US cities, giving users turn-by-turn directions right in front of their eyes.
