Basti district, known as the gateway to Purvanchal, has once again become a political arena. Today, to unite the Brahmin community, powerful Brahmin leaders from Purvanchal came together on stage and raised their voice against the Yogi government. The event, titled Sanatan Samvad, was led by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda. He leveled several serious allegations against the Yogi government and appealed to Sanatanis to unite and vote in the upcoming elections.
Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda sounded the bugle against the Yogi government from the GIC grounds in Basti. Furthermore, from this platform, former MLA Vinay Shankar Tiwari, a staunch opponent of Yogi Adityanath, openly appealed to Brahmins to unite and take up arms against the arrogant and unrighteous anti-Sanatan government and oust it from power this time.
Meanwhile, Alankar Agnihotri, a former PCS officer, addressed the public, stating that a Brahmin can even wield an axe if needed, and that now Brahmins are Parashuram, not Sudama. Alankar also inspired Brahmins with the slogan “Har Ghar Axe, Har Ghar Axe.”
Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand leveled serious allegations against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Shankaracharya stated that if the current BJP government had championed the cause of the cow and Sanatan Dharma, the opposition would not have had a chance. On the issue of declaring the cow as the mother of the nation, Shankaracharya stated that he would not support SP chief Akhilesh Yadav until he makes a party-level declaration declaring the cow as the mother of the nation.
Avimukteshwaranand stated that if no political party advocates for the cow in the upcoming 2027 elections, he would field his own candidate. Shankaracharya said that 160 million animals were slaughtered and eaten in Uttar Pradesh, and the UP government failed to stop it. He said that if the previous Chief Minister did not ban the sale of cow meat, then why did the Yogi government not ban it this time? This means that he has no desire to stop cow slaughter.
Questioning Yogi Adityanath, Avimukteshwarananda said that how can one person hold two positions when Yogi Adityanath is a saint? He is taking a salary from the Uttar Pradesh government and discharging this position improperly. He should relinquish one of the two positions, but he is not doing so and is calling himself a Yogi Sanyasi and holding both positions, which is against dignity.
He said that no Shankaracharya wants to hold the position of Prime Minister, Chief Minister, or President because his position is the highest of these. He said that no saint should be a government official.
