The government has launched a dedicated MyPNG-D portal to accelerate the shift from LPG to PNG. This portal eliminates the need for frequent visits to gas agencies. You can easily surrender your LPG connection if you already have a PNG connection. It’s worth noting that the government has given those with a gas pipeline in their area three months to obtain a PNG connection.
In order to ensure that people don’t face any difficulties in obtaining and surrendering their LPG connections, the MyPNG-D portal has been introduced.
Recently, the government has amended regulations, making it clear that in areas with a gas pipeline, residents must shift to a PNG connection within three months. Failure to do so will result in the LPG cylinder connection being disconnected. This decision was taken in light of the LPG cylinder shortage. Therefore, those who already have a PNG connection can surrender their cylinder from home through this portal.
The MyPNG-D portal has been introduced to simplify the transition from an LPG connection to PNG. It allows people to digitally surrender their cylinder connection and apply for a PNG connection. You can access this portal by visiting MyPNGD.in. This portal will also save time.
To access the MyPNG-D portal, you must visit MyPNGD.in, create an account, and log in using your LPG connection’s consumer ID.
You must then select the “Switch to PNG” option.
You must now fill out a digital form to surrender your old connection.
The gas company will then contact you, and the cylinder will be collected from your home once the process is complete.
