He didn’t go into politics as a career move – he already had a thriving real estate business. He stood for and won office because he had grown increasingly concerned at the erosion of freedom and opportunity – principles that had attracted his family to migrate from Mauritius to Victoria in 1990. “Freedom is not just a word. Freedom of speech, of movement and of association are bedrock principles of a free society. I became alarmed at growing restrictions on our freedom and determined to do something about it,” he said. Educated at Catholic schools and graduating from Swinburne University of Technology with a Bachelor of Business before launching his real estate firm, Babet has always believed in standing up for what is right. His parents instilled the importance of family and fiscal responsibility. “As a migrant family, hard work and good money management were a key to being successful. And that has helped to form my view of how government should operate. Hard work should be rewarded, and money should be managed well.” The other thing he learned from an early age was to love Australia. “Australia gave our family a future,” he says. “It’s a great country, and we need to ensure it remains great. That means staying true to who we are, and making decisions based on the national interest rather than always dancing to the tune of unelected, unrepresentative globalist bodies.” In the short time Babet has been in the Senate he has already won a reputation for being more interested in truth rather than in power. He has fought for free enterprise, for fiscal responsibility, for individual freedom and for transparency. Senator Babet is one of only a few elected members to have taken a strong stand for the rights of children. He’s a conviction politician who has taken a firm position against the woke agenda that threatens to sexualise and confuse our kids. “I’m concerned about doing what’s right,” he says. “Whether or not that gets me re-elected is a little bit irrelevant. Politics isn’t a career move for me. Rather, it’s the most practical way I can think of to give something back to the country that has already given me so much.” Source: Facebook, Senatorbabet, Twitter Also Read: Related Article:
