With the buzz of Nitish Kumar’s Rajya Sabha seat, Nitish Kumar began deepening his relationship with Samrat Chaudhary, who served as Deputy Chief Minister during his tenure as Chief Minister. Following the announcement of his Rajya Sabha seat, Nitish Kumar, in an effort to maintain his strong hold on Bihar politics, embarked on the second phase of his Samruddhi Yatra. Despite his absence from the Rajya Sabha, Nitish Kumar kept him with him everywhere. Not only did he keep him with him, but after winning the Rajya Sabha elections, at an event in Jamui, he placed his hand on Samrat Chaudhary’s shoulder and, addressing the large crowd of people and leaders from the JDU, BJP, and other NDA constituents, declared that “all my work in Bihar will now be done by Samrat Chaudhary.” He then appealed for Samrat Chaudhary to be installed as Chief Minister of Bihar, securing his consent. Nitish Kumar had previously stated this in a tweet. Today, at an event, Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, was seen cordially meeting Samrat Chaudhary. Following Nitish Kumar, HAM national president Jitan Ram Manjhi has also come out in support of Samrat Chaudhary and is pressuring the BJP to make him Chief Minister.
Regarding the possibility of Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary becoming Chief Minister, Jitan Ram Manjhi said, “Whatever Nitish Kumar wants will happen.” He clarified that Nitish Kumar’s decision is final and whoever he chooses will become Chief Minister in Bihar. He even said that Nitish Kumar had made him Chief Minister.
Jitan Ram Manjhi said that Nitish Kumar does what he says. He also said that if Samrat Chaudhary becomes Chief Minister as per Nitish Kumar’s wishes, he would be very happy.
The question arises: Now that after Nitish Kumar’s election to the Rajya Sabha, the Bharatiya Janata Party has the opportunity to form a government in Bihar with its own Chief Minister for the first time in a long time, why are Nitish Kumar and Jitan Ram Manjhi in such a hurry to make Samrat Chaudhary Chief Minister, more than the BJP?
Nitish Kumar and Jitan Ram Manjhi do not want to make Samrat Chaudhary the Chief Minister because they have a great affinity with Samrat Chaudhary, rather they want to make Samrat Chaudhary the Chief Minister of Bihar so that they can maintain the existence of their political capital in Bihar.
For now, only the duo of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah will know who the BJP will appoint as the next Chief Minister of Bihar. Even the person whom the duo is considering as the next Chief Minister of Bihar will not know this yet. Although this name will be announced as the choice of the NDA MLAs, even the NDA MLAs will not yet know who they will support for the post of Chief Minister of Bihar. Before these MLAs, this information will be conveyed to the messenger, whom Narendra Modi and Amit Shah will hand over the slip containing the name of the Chief Minister of Bihar and will entrust him with the responsibility of getting the MLAs present to raise their hands in support of the person named on the slip and accepting him as the Chief Minister.
But one thing is certain: the BJP will not appoint any of the many names currently being discussed in the race for the post of Chief Minister, such as Samrat Chaudhary, Nityanand Rai, and Vijay Sinha. Samrat Chaudhary, whose name was promised to be made bigger than the Deputy Chief Minister by Amit Shah, known as the Chanakya of BJP politics, during his campaign in his constituency, is being brought up by the BJP not to make him the Chief Minister, but to make a hoax. At least from the process of appointing several Chief Ministers in various states by the duo of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah in the past, this trend is clearly visible that the duo of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah has always taken surprising decisions regarding the announcement of the name of the Chief Minister. Even during the Bihar elections, Nitish Kumar had made the BJP accept him as the leader of the NDA alliance by applying pressure. During the announcement of his name, the BJP had given Nitish Kumar a tough time.
Now, it appears that some of the names being considered by the Narendra Modi and Amit Shah duo for the next Chief Minister of Bihar have been leaked, leading leaders like Nitish Kumar and Jitendra Ram manjhi to fear that if one of them becomes the next Chief Minister of Bihar from the BJP, it could easily seize the political power they have earned so far and shift it in their favor. As soon as they sensed this, they launched a campaign to make Samrat Chaudhary, a member of the BJP camp, the next Chief Minister of Bihar.
The Narendra Modi and Amit Shah duo are well aware that Nitish Kumar has the strongest influence over the Dalits and Mahadalits of Bihar. HAM’s national president, Jitendra Ram Manjhi, himself a Dalit, also has a strong hold on them. Therefore, if the BJP appoints someone from this community as Chief Minister, they can easily cut off their roots by working in accordance with Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath’s plans in Bihar. However, by giving the first BJP Chief Minister to Bihar, the duo of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah will surely leave their constituency in the lurch by weakening the opposition alliance as well as their own alliance and they might still be hiding many more things than what has been written, which will be revealed only in the end.
