New Delhi: The entertainment industry has been struck with tragedy yet again as Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey was found dead in her hotel room in Varanasi on Monday. The 25-year-old actress was all set to act in the upcoming movie ‘Nayak’. Her make-up artist discovered her hanging when he reached her room to call her.

Initial reports suggest that it was a case of suicide. Akanksha had posted a video of herself on Instagram on Saturday, just a day before her untimely demise. The police are investigating the cause of death and have not yet confirmed if it was indeed a suicide.

Apart from being a film actress, Akanksha was also very active on social media. She had shared a picture of her lover on Valentine’s Day and often shared pictures with her co-star Samar Singh. The two have acted together in many films. However, Samar’s mobile phone was found switched off since morning.

Akanksha started her career in the film industry at the young age of 17 with the movie ‘Meri Jung Mera Faisla’. She went on to act in several popular Bhojpuri films such as ‘Mujse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Veeron Ki Veer’, ‘Fighter King’ and ‘Kasam Paida Karna Ki’. However, she had taken a break from films in 2018 due to depression and had only recently returned to acting.

The news of Akanksha Dubey’s death has left her fans and colleagues in shock. The entertainment industry has lost a talented actress who had a promising future ahead of her. However, fans are concerned about what happened to the actress in just a few hours that led to the extreme step. They hope that the ongoing investigation will reveal the same.
