IEO-2023: Global Youth unite for environmental awareness in UP’s capital

Lucknow: Renowned environmentalist and Special Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Dr. Heera Lal Patel inaugurated the International Environment Olympiad (IEO-2023) with a symbolic lighting of the lamp at City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus II auditorium.

Speaking at the IEO, Dr. Patel praised the school for inspiring youth towards environmental protection, emphasizing the crucial need for global youth involvement in tackling environmental challenges.

The four-day program witnessed a vibrant display of cultural talents by CMS students, welcoming participants from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, USA, Russia, UAE, and various states in India.

CMS Founder Dr. Jagdish Gandhi stressed the importance of unity with nature for environmental preservation and cleanliness. Senior Principal Ms. Manjit Batra highlighted the Olympiad’s aim to educate participants about global environmental changes and instill values for a pollution-free world.

Student delegations from participating countries shared their perspectives at a press conference, expressing eagerness to learn new environmental protection methods and exchange ideas with peers. Various competitions will feature diverse contests such as quizzes, elocution, painting, gaming applications, and more at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium.

The IEO-2023 aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and empower students to take responsibility for a cleaner, safer world.
