Popular South actress Subi Suresh passes away at age of 42

Kochi: Subi Suresh, an actress, and comedian, passed away at the age of 42 due to a liver-related ailment. She died in a private hospital in Kochi on February 22. The cinema field in Kerala is in a state of shock hearing the news of the demise of their favourite actress.

Subi Suresh began her career as a mimicry artist and rose to fame with her appearances on the popular comedy show ‘Cinemala’. Her hilarious characters on the show were adored by viewers, and she went on to land roles in several Malayalam movies, including ‘Happy Husbands’ and ‘Kankanasimhasanam’.

She also hosted the children’s show ‘Kutty Pattalam’, where her amusing interactions with kids were highly appreciated by the audience. Despite her untimely demise, Subi Suresh’s talent and contribution to the entertainment industry will be remembered and cherished by her fans.

Expressing shock at the demise, Suresh Gopi MP said that the death could have been avoided. Though colleagues were trying to complete the paperwork for liver transplantation, the papers were ready only by Saturday by the time the actress had developed pneumonia.
