NIA take over investigation of Rajouri attack, security plan finalised for region: Amit Shah

Jammu: Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed that the NIA has taken over the investigation of the Rajouri terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. He clarified that the entire area is under strong security in the wake of the attack.

He said that the NIA and the police would join hands in the investigation of the incident that led to the death of seven people. He added that the terrorist attacks in different areas of Jammu in the last one and a half years will be investigated.

Last day, Amit Shah had reached Rajouri to visit the family members of the victims. But the relatives could not be seen due to the bad weather conditions and were contacted by phone.

Twin blasts took place in Rajouri on 1st and 2nd of January and four people had lost their lives on New Year Day. Two children were also killed in an IED blast the next day.
